Malvern Heart Centre has cardiologists that manage a wide range of heart related conditions. Our cardiologists diagnose and manage patients with many different cardiac conditions such as chest pain investigation, ischaemic heart disease, arrhythmias, cardiac failure and hypertension. Our cardiologists also perform coronary angioplasty, stenting, pacemaker management and cardiac ultrasonography.
We have experienced cardiac sonographers and administration staff that assist our cardiologists and ensure quality care to our patients.
Our diagnostic services include:
- 12 lead ECGs
- Transthoracic echocardiography
- Exercise stress testing
- Stress echocardiography
- 24 hour Holter monitoring
- 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
- Pacemaker monitoring
Dr. David Irons
Cardiologist, Interventionalist Cardiologist
Dr David Irons provides a general cardiology service and treatment of all adult cardiology conditions. Dr Irons has regular sessions in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory at Cabrini and visits the hospital on a daily basis. Dr Irons has a special interest in chest pain, heart attacks, coronary angiograms and stents. Dr Irons also have affiliations with Western and Sunshine Hospital.
Consulting days: Alternate weeks, Tuesdays – Afternoons and Thursdays – Mornings and Afternoon
Dr. Alexander Adel
Consultant Cardiologist, Non-invasive imaging specialist
Dr. Adel is a non-invasive imaging and general cardiologist, specialising in echocardiography, stress testing and coronary CT angiography. Alex graduated from Monash University, and finished his cardiology training with an imaging Fellowship at Austin Health. Special interests include heart failure, valve disease, and multi-modality cardiac imaging.
Consults: Alternate Weeks, Monday (mornings and afternoons), Tuesdays (mornings) and Fridays (mornings and afternoons)
Dr. Anu Aggarwal
Consultant Cardiologist, Non-invasive imaging specialist
Dr. Anu Aggarwal is a non-invasive imaging and general cardiologist, with an interest in heart failure, cardiac genetic diseases, echocardiography and diagnostic angiography/right heart catherterisation.
Consults: Tuesday afternoons
Dr. Bruno Martin
Dr. Bruno Martin is an experienced Cardiologist with a specialist interest in heart rhythm disturbances and palpitations.
Consults: Thursdays. one a month
